About this gathering

Every generation has a vital role to play in God's mission, yet many churches struggle to move beyond equipping a specific age group or two. Drawing on years of experience in a major university town, Dusty Thompson (Redeemer Church, Lubbock) will explore how leaders can equip children, students, adults, and seniors — and everyone in between — to serve God together. Through practical principles, real-life stories, and discussion, you'll gain ideas for cultivating a church where every generation is actively engaged in ministry.

Plus we'll have lunch and pray together, and you'll have time to get to know other Christian leaders representing multiple veins of God's Church across the Fort Worth area. If you're a "leader" in your church — paid, volunteer, pastor, staff, elder, deacon, board member, or whatever — you're welcome!

Dusty Thompson has led Redeemer Church in Lubbock since planting it in 2008, pastoring in a city shaped by a major university and its transient, all-ages population. Years of building a congregation that spans a college town's rhythms — students one semester, longtime families the next — shaped his conviction that every generation has to be actively engaged, not just accommodated. He and his wife, Amy, have two sons, Roman and JJ.
